| Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up a nearby park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind, Lions Clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community - and beyond. |

| Today with more than approximately 45,000 clubs in 197 countries and geographical areas, Lions have expanded their focus to help meet the ever-increasing needs of our global community. |

| Our programs are continually changing to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered: "We Serve." |

| We Serve - Nearly 1.35 million Lions members answer the needs that challenge the communities of the world. Lions provide immediate and sustained relief in time of disaster and offer long term assistance in those in need. Basics such as safe, clean drinking water and shelter as well as education and health care are just part of the work Lions are committed to. |

| Through Foundations such as Save Sight, Diabetes, Cord Blood and Medical Research as well as many Youth and Community Projects such as Youth of the Year, Prostate Cancer, Peace Poster and Youth Exchange, Lions continue to provide much needed assistance and support to our society and the global community. |
